Aidan and Sharon planted CRC Capetown in 2005 after serving under the leadership of Pastor Hennie and Susan van der Merwe in CRCKimberley for 10years from 1994-2004.
In 1996 Aidan planned to answer Gods call upon his life by applying to attend Bible School in California, however, after his visa’s were declined it was a clear indication that God had a different time and preparation season for him into ministry..
Aidan went into business in 1997 in order to be flexible for ministry & bible school studies in Kimberley.
The few years from 1998 onward served to confirm and reveal Gods plan for Aidan into ministry when their church Embassy Christian Centre under the leadership of PS Hennie amalgamated with CRC Kimberley under the leadership of Ps Clive Pawson. Aidan got to grow with the CRC vision nationally and internationally under the leadership of CRCs visionary founder and Pastor, At Boshoff.
It was clear-CRC WAS THE PLACE TO BE.
This season of spiritual moulding, serving and practical preparation would last until 2004,when after having established two successful companies in Kimberley, Gods prompting and release came to step out and plant CRC CapeTown through the vision of CRC.
Sharon, his wife, Matthew, Jonathan and Sarah, their three children, left for Cape Town on 28 December 2004.
CRC Cape Town’s first service was held on Sunday 6th February 2005 in the Jeffery home with six people in attendance. The church grew steadily from the 1st service in Aidan’s house to where currently CRC CapeTown is meeting in a 1500 seat facility with multiple services in Montague Gardens and 4 more locations have also since been planted in Stellenbosch, Mitchells Plain, Hermanus and Paarl.
Sharon, Aidan’s wife since 1994 and high school sweetheart has not only been a tremendous support since 2005 but also plays an integral part in the success and running of the churches in greater Cape Town and serves on CRC Woman’s national forum. Sharon heads up the Music Dept and Women’s ministry in all the Cape Town churches.
The CRC movement celebrated its 20th year in 2014 and it is with great expectation that together with and under the incredible visionary leadership of Pastor At and Nyretta,all the national and international CRC Pastors and the CRC family worldwide in support, CRC’s greatest days are still ahead of it.
